At this rate Flossman will be back to selling catalogue frames out of his bedroom before long. Still too many meat-bikes in the pipe and the big-3 can afford to run a loss longer than smaller brands. There was a time when I was much younger that I could not afford to run out and buy a new frame, just didn't have the spare cash sitting around. I bought a decoy in January and I couldn't care less about the warranty, the discount I got outweighs the lack of one. Adam Miller at Revel took a different path and was in a good position to quickly restore the brand (and it's lifetime warranties) after the P.E. I can’t say I feel bad for YT, karma sometimes comes back. So YT first used the Zink brothers to distribute their bikes in the US and then after the brothers got the brand established they were kicked to the curb. But the 'Marcus marketing shitshow' overshadowed the tasteful spec of the bikes for the general audience. How nice of them to take our money, then also sell us stuff and take more of our money. That's when it dawned on me that the new model Kohler and many other companies were following was to offshored production while significantly expanding product line and marketing budgets. It's practically still part of the same brand and organization for me. I don't see YT US not designing the bikes they sell as anything different from Specialized or Trek Europe not designing the bikes they sell.
In July, two Taiwanese companies made public statements regarding unpaid services. Especially having people to trust you again. The company is dead in the water, the projects, molds, know how is part of a defaulted company, creditors will want to sell those. I bought a YT about 4 years ago and it was an odd experience. That will not be a popular take for this comment section. As evidenced by all the companies making complicated horror-shows in an attempt to get the same performance with more marketing edge. This move creates more competition and ensures that previous customers will be able to get spares/warranties.
Is always sad to hear this about a genuine bike brand, with its own designs and good manufacturing . Strip it for parts and slap them on a new frame, toss the capra frame in the garage attic and forget it exists. Guess it’ll be worth peanuts now when I go to sell it in a few years Gg had 0 to none market share, YT have much broader , gg frames build to last, yt frames are common to brake, bb area, cs, head-tube Warranty is a form of insurance that is baked into the price you pay. EVERYONE got mad but they also bought their bike as YT soldout every single model before closing.

For me Nukeproof is more interesting (If we are talking about back from ashes brands) I don´t trust this brand anymore. When you knowingly let PE or some bad actor take a financial stake in your business, that is bad for customers. The margins are too thin, and economies of scale in the big brands are too big. Usually results in a big shakeup – usually the manager/coaching staff getting sacked, but sometimes some of the abrasive star players can be cause.
